こんなふうに使ってみよう  

Jane: Wow, it's raining cats and dogs out there.
Iris: I'm completely soaked!
Jane: I knew I should have brought my umbrella.
Iris: Hey, we can buy umbrellas over here.
Jane: Yeah, but they're so expensive. Do they raise the prices when it's raining?
Iris: Maybe. There's a cafe over there. We could wait in there for the rain to ease off a little.
Jane: That's a good idea.

Jane:わぁ、外はどしゃぶりね。
Iris: 完全にびしょ濡れよ！
Jane: やっぱり傘を持ってくるべきだったわ。
Iris: ねえ、ここで傘が買えるわ。
Jane: そうね、でもとっても高いわね。雨が降ると値段を上げるってわけ？
Iris: たぶんね。あそこにカフェがあるわよ。小降りになるまで待ちましょうか。
Jane: いいわね、そうしましょう。

It's raining cats and dogs. ： どしゃぶりだ。
I knew [fact]. ： [ ]のことはわかってた
raise the price ： 値段を上げる
反対の表現：「値段を下げる」は、“lower the price”と言います。
ease off ： 弱まる・軽くなる
