fall for (something) ： （何か）に引っ掛かる
何かを信じて騙されてしまうことを表わします。

Donは珍しく料理をしています。
Don：C'mon, just try my stir-fry. I promise it's good!
Lorna：I'm not going to fall for that again. Last time you put in sugar instead of salt!
Don：なぁ、僕の炒めもの食べてみてよ。美味しいから！
Lorna：もうそれには引っ掛からないわよ。前回は塩の代わりに砂糖を入れたじゃない。

smooth talker ： 口がうまい人
相手がすぐに騙されてしまうほど話がうまい人のことを表わします。

HughはDoraとも付き合っている？
Bob：I thought Dora didn't like Hugh.
Greta：He's a pretty smooth talker. I knew he'd convince her to go out with him.
Bob：DoraはHughのことを好きじゃないと思っていたよ。
Greta：Hughはすごく口がうまいからな。彼がうまく口説いたんだよ。
